Journaling has been a great tool for me when it comes to making sure I’m living life consciously instead of on autopilot. Something about the act of writing thoughts down gives them more depth, makes them more real, and makes me pay more attention to them.
But that isn’t to say that I always know what I want to focus on or think about when I sit down with my journal. What do I most need to be thinking about today? What aspect of a situation would be most beneficial for me to consider today? What part of my life could I more closely examine to achieve the future I envision?
Often when I turn to journaling I’m quite scattered already. Asking me to come up with my own journal prompts would be useless. I’ve found a tool I like to use that not only helps focus my mind for journaling or meditation, but is more meaningful than a simple “Dear Diary” session.
