Outfit of the week 4

Outfit of the Week #4 is all about traditional autumn fashion. Warm colors and cozy textures are running the show, with just enough glam to keep you feeling chic.

The base for this outfit is this sweater from Nordstrom. It’s ridiculously affordable for being 100% cotton, as opposed to most acrylic-blend sweaters on the market. Full cotton composition will make this softer on the skin, and it will wear better over time than its synthetic counterparts. And if you’re someone who finds wool sweaters uncomfortable, this one is definitely for you!

I paired it with black jeans and ankle booties to keep the camel color of the sweater the focal point. I’m also pretty sure that black pants and booties are in just about everyone’s closets at this point, but you can find the pants here and the shoes here if you’re interested. The shoes are sold by DSW, and at the time of writing DSW is having a BOGO sale!

For a touch of pattern, I added this scarf from H&M. H&M never lets me down on scarves. I’ve been purchasing this cool-weather accessory from them for fifteen years! I find that as long as you take care of them properly, they really can last for many years. Pay attention to the care instructions on the label before you cut it off, or take a picture of it for later use.

And it wouldn’t truly be an autumnal color palette without a rich, warm red. I feel like if you’re going to splurge on any part of an outfit, do so on whatever stands out the most. This bag by Prada is a good size for your daily essentials and is prices on the reasonable end, as far as luxury handbags are concerned. It’s also the most lovely shade of red; not too orange, and not too burgundy. Throw on some red-tinted aviators and you’re good to go!
